From 28 to 31 January, ISM Cologne 2024 became the center of the global confectionery and snack industry, welcoming more than 30,000 trade visitors from more than 140 countries. Naturally, we were there to monitor developments closely.
At the ISM New Product Showcase, we were impressed by the innovative offerings that were highlighted. From an awarded unique chocolate snack without cocoa (!), to personalized snack packaging and to the fusion of sustainability and fruit flavours in a delectable treat, the exhibition truly showcased cutting-edge ideas.
In addition, it was evident that the growing consumer focus on health and enjoyment was at the heart of the exhibition as one of the dominant trends. There seemed to be an increasing emphasis on sustainable ingredients and production methods, alongside the demand for healthier snacking options.
